Overview
- The signing was reported Tuesday, October 27, 2026, by The Athletic and was relayed by Big Blue View and Pro Football Rumors, which say Lowry will join the Giants' practice squad.
- Lowry is a 32-year-old veteran who has played 132 regular-season games with 85 starts and has spent time with the Packers, Vikings and Steelers.
- Reports conflict on Lowry’s 2025 status with one outlet saying he finished the year on injured reserve after a torn ACL and another saying he made 12 appearances before being released.
- The Giants made the addition to add interior depth behind starters D.J. Reader and Shelby Harris and to provide a seasoned rotation option for younger backups.
- Low-cost practice-squad terms mean Lowry could be elevated quickly if injuries or performance needs force the Giants to seek immediate help against the run.
