• San Francisco selected right-hander JT Brubaker and recalled outfielder Grant McCray as MLB rosters expanded from 26 to 28 on Sept. 1.
• All-Star reliever Randy Rodríguez was placed on the 60-day injured list after electing Tommy John surgery.
• Brubaker, 31, joins as a long-relief option who could start if needed, posting a 3.38 ERA in 12 outings with the Yankees this season and allowing two runs over 11 innings at Triple-A Sacramento.
