Overview

  • The tree collapsed Wednesday afternoon between 9th and 10th avenues near San Mateo Central Park, bringing down large branches across the street.
  • A white Volkswagen sedan and a white Ford Ranger pickup truck were heavily damaged when the tree fell onto them.
  • San Mateo Police Department joined forces with multiple fire units to clear debris and secure the area.
