Overview

• The Festival der Riesendrachen runs from 11:00 to 20:00 with free admission on the west side of Tempelhofer Feld.
• U- and S-Bahn trains skip Tempelhof between 10:30 and 21:00, A100 exits to Tempelhofer Damm are closed, and organizers recommend arriving via Südkreuz for a roughly 30-minute walk.
• A first-time LED kite program starts around 19:00 and is followed by a fireworks finale.
• About 100,000 visitors are expected along with 87 pilots from Germany, Thailand, Italy and Ireland, bringing nearly 2,000 kites.
• The weather service DWD forecasts dry, mostly fair conditions with highs of 16–19°C and an easterly wind.
