Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, the sequel to Ghostbusters: Afterlife, is set to introduce a new villain, moving on from the franchise's most recognizable villain, Gozer.
The upcoming movie will feature both new and original characters, including Bill Murray, Dan Ackroyd, Ernie Hudson, and Paul Rudd.
The movie will be directed by Gil Kenan, who co-wrote Afterlife and is excited about creating an entirely new mythology for the Ghostbusters saga.
Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire will move the action from Oklahoma back to New York, featuring the surviving original Ghostbusters back in their firehouse headquarters.
The movie is scheduled to hit theaters on March 29, 2024.
