Ghibli Park Sets Dec. 17 Refresh of ‘Narikiri’ Exhibit as Porco Rosso S‑21 Heads to Rotanda

Visitors should plan around a Dec. 3–16 maintenance closure.

Overview

  • The photo-friendly ‘ジブリのなりきり名場面展’ in Ghibli’s Large Warehouse will replace 7 of 14 scene corners from December 17, marking its first refresh since the park opened in 2022.
  • New scenes will feature On Your Mark, My Neighbors the Yamadas, Ghiblies episode2, and The Boy and the Heron, while scenes from Ocean Waves, The Wind Rises, and When Marnie Was There will be retired.
  • Additional adjustments include new scene selections for Only Yesterday, Porco Rosso, and The Tale of The Princess Kaguya, and Castle in the Sky being reduced from two corners to one.
  • The current display runs through December 1, the park is closed for maintenance December 3–16, and December admission tickets go on sale October 10 at 2 p.m.
  • Rotanda Kazegaoka cafeteria closes September 26–October 31 for renovation and is slated to reopen November 1 with a wooden S-21 on display, a piece reported at about 7.8 meters long with a 10-meter wingspan after its Tokyo run at Terada Soko.
