Overview

  • Police laid a trap near a bridge in Marol, Andheri East, on August 11–12 and arrested 34-year-old Henry Almoh after seizing 287.8 grams of cocaine valued at between Rs 1.15 and Rs 1.5 crore.
  • Searches recovered two smartphones and cash, and officers found two passports at Almoh’s residence—his Ghanaian passport had expired and the other document is suspected to be forged.
  • Almoh was charged under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and remanded by a Mumbai court until August 19 for further investigation.
  • Investigators are examining Almoh’s call data records alongside passport forgeries to identify contacts and trace his possible role in an international trafficking network.
  • The arrest follows a series of recent nationwide anti-narcotics operations that have yielded major seizures of synthetic stimulants, heroin and cannabis.
