Gervonta 'Tank' Davis Sued in Miami Over Alleged Strip-Club Assault Days Before Jake Paul Fight

Police in Miami Gardens have opened an inquiry after a report tied to the lawsuit.

Overview

  • Courtney Rossel filed the Oct. 30 civil complaint in Miami-Dade accusing Davis of battery, aggravated battery, false imprisonment, kidnapping and intentional infliction of emotional distress over an Oct. 27 incident at Tootsie’s Cabaret.
  • The filing alleges Davis dragged her from an upstairs lounge through a stairway and kitchen into a parking garage around 4:15 a.m., where he allegedly choked, pushed and struck her in the back of the head.
  • Rossel claims a pattern of abuse during a five-month involvement in 2022, citing at least four earlier assaults and two written threats to kill her, including an alleged choking on Sept. 23.
  • Rossel’s attorneys say a police report was submitted and Miami Gardens police are investigating and seeking security footage, and police confirmed Davis was named as the suspect in a recently filed report.
  • Davis’s trainer called the suit “nonsense,” the plaintiff seeks compensatory and punitive damages and a jury trial, and Davis remains scheduled to face Jake Paul on Nov. 14 in a Netflix-streamed exhibition.
