- Courtney Rossel filed a civil complaint Oct. 30 in Miami-Dade County accusing Gervonta “Tank” Davis of battery, aggravated battery, false imprisonment, kidnapping, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
- The filing alleges a 4:15 a.m. Oct. 27 incident at Tootsie’s Cabaret in Miami Gardens in which Davis allegedly grabbed, dragged, choked, and struck Rossel, including in a parking garage.
- Rossel says she and Davis were involved for five months and claims a pattern of prior assaults and written threats to kill her, according to the complaint.
- Rossel’s attorney says a police report has been filed and the Miami Gardens Police Department is investigating the incident and seeking security footage from the club.
- Davis’ trainer called the lawsuit “nonsense”; the case is civil seeking compensatory and punitive damages and a jury trial, and no new criminal charges have been filed as the Nov. 14 event approaches.
