  • Official data put 2024 average gross full-time pay at €4,634 per month, while the Deutsche Rentenversicherung’s broader measure is about €4,200, reflecting different coverage of working hours and employees.
  • For 16–24-year-olds the median is €15,400 a year (€1,300 a month), salary portals cite roughly €30,000 for typical 20-year-olds, and graduate entry pay is about €3,780 a month (€45,400 a year).
  • Typical earnings around age 30 are about €42,000 a year (€3,500 a month), and by 40 the median is roughly €57,000 (€4,800 a month), with vocationally trained specialists near €48,000.
  • The spread between professions is widest: pilots and professors earn about €8,700 a month, doctors average €7,700, software developers about €5,500, while clerks and elder-care workers near €3,600, cooks €2,600 and hairdressers €1,800.
  • By qualification, academics average about €5,500 a month and those with doctorates roughly €8,700, compared with around €3,500 for vocational training, €4,800 for technicians and master craftsmen, and €2,800 for unskilled workers.
