Winkler debuted for the German national team in November 2024 and is regarded as one of the country's top goalkeepers, excelling particularly in aerial play.
The transfer is expected to trigger additional moves, including Eintracht's current goalkeeper Stina Johannes likely joining VfL Wolfsburg as a replacement for Merle Frohms.
