- Germany recorded 29.1% women in leadership in 2024, equal to about 540,000 women versus 1.32 million men, according to Destatis, compared with an EU average of 35.2%.

- Women accounted for 46.9% of all employed persons in Germany in 2024, highlighting the disconnect with their presence in management roles.
- Germany ranks near the bottom in the EU (reported 22nd of 27), with Sweden highest at 44.4% and Cyprus lowest at 25.3%; Latvia (43.4%) and Poland (41.8%) also report high shares.
