Germany's 2025 Wine Harvest Projected to Rise 5% to 8.2 Million Hectoliters

  • White must is estimated at 69% of volume and red at 31%, with Riesling leading at roughly 1.9 million hectoliters, up 3% from 2024.
  • Varietal shifts include gains for Blauer Spätburgunder (+21% to 851,000 hl), Weißer Burgunder (+16% to 529,000 hl) and Grauer Burgunder (+10% to 638,000 hl), while Müller-Thurgau (-12% to 932,000 hl) and Dornfelder (-18% to 574,000 hl) are expected to decline.
