Overview

  • Registered Balkonkraftwerke topped 1,009,390 as of June 30, 2025, after more than 220,000 new systems were added in the first half of the year.
  • Solarpaket 1 reforms raised the module cap to 2,000 W, set a maximum grid injection of 800 W and streamlined registration processes.
  • Entry-level mini-PV kits such as onLite’s 900 W system now start below €240, while 1,000 W duo sets can be had for under €300 to accelerate payback.
  • Integrated storage options like the Anker SOLIX Solarbank 3 Pro (2.68 kWh) and Growatt NOAH 2000 (2 kWh) markedly increase self-consumption and energy autonomy.
  • Ultralight TOPCon flexible modules developed in collaboration with Fraunhofer ISE (0.3 cm thick, 4.5 kg) enable efficient deployment on small urban balconies.
