Germany Submits Bid to Host Basketball EuroBasket 2029

Germany has officially entered the bidding process to host a preliminary round of the 2029 Basketball EuroBasket tournament in Munich's SAP Garden.
Other countries vying to host include Estonia, Finland, Greece, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Slovenia, and Spain.
The final decision on the four host nations for the tournament will be made in May 2025 by FIBA, the sport's governing body.
Germany last hosted the EuroBasket in 2022, with games held in Cologne and Berlin, and has also hosted major women's basketball events scheduled for 2025 and 2026.
The German Basketball Federation cites positive memories from 2015 and 2022 as motivation for its bid, emphasizing Munich's strong infrastructure for large events.
