Germany Set for Mild Days, Frosty Nights as DWD Flags Sunshine Thursday

Overnight ground frost is likely in low areas with morning fog in some regions reducing visibility below 150 meters.

  • In Berlin and Brandenburg, highs reach 13–16 C on Wednesday and about 12–14 C on Thursday, with nighttime lows near 5–1 C then 5–2 C bringing a widespread ground frost risk.
  • In North Rhine-Westphalia, temperatures rise to 15–20 C on Wednesday and 15–19 C on Thursday, while nights dip to 7–2 C then 8–1 C with local ground frost expected, including frost in parts of Westphalia.
  • In Rhineland-Palatinate, highs range from 12–17 C on Wednesday and 9–16 C on Thursday, nights fall to around 7–0 C then 6–0 C with pockets of frost, and morning fog can cut visibility below 150 meters; the Upper Rhine Graben may stay gray on Friday.
  • Friday remains dry with a mix of sun and clouds and regional highs generally between 11 and 17 C.
