- Inpatient cases for endometriosis increased from roughly 25,100 in 2014 to about 37,700 in 2024, a 50.1% rise.

- Inpatient treatments for other gynecological conditions fell: uterine fibroids decreased 26.6% to around 48,700 cases and uterine prolapse declined 4.6% to roughly 46,100, with prolapse concentrated among women over 60.
- Cardiovascular diseases were the top reasons for women’s hospital stays in 2024 (12.8%), followed by injuries and poisonings (10.4%) and pregnancy, childbirth and the puerperium (9.4%).
- Cardiovascular disease was the leading cause of female deaths in 2024 (35.4%; 178,742), with cancer second (21.1%; 106,774), and life expectancy reached 83.5 years for women versus 78.9 for men.
