Germany Maps Major Autobahn Closures as Berlin's A100 Is Reduced to One Lane

Corrosion findings accelerate a repair plan, with traffic routed via signed detours during scheduled closures.

Overview

  • Berlin's A100 over Mecklenburgische Straße now carries only one northbound lane toward Dreieck Funkturm until further notice, with the Detmolder Straße on-ramp closed and a repair concept due next week.
  • The A3 will be fully closed in both directions between Kreuz Oberhausen-West and Kreuz Breitscheid from Nov. 7 at 21:00 to Nov. 17 at 05:00, with limited local access via Duisburg-Wedau (toward Cologne) and Oberhausen-Lirich (toward Arnhem).
  • In NRW the same weekend, the A3 at Emmerich shuts both ways Nov. 7 at 20:00 to Nov. 10 at 05:00 for bridge works, and the A40 toward Essen closes Nov. 8 at 09:00 to Nov. 10 at 05:00 for expansion and the Neuenkamp Rhine bridge project.
  • Cologne's A1 tunnel at Lövenich will be closed overnight on Nov. 11–12 and Nov. 12–13 from 21:00 to 05:00, with ramps and the A4-to-A1 link restricted and long-distance traffic advised to use the A3 and A4.
  • ACE and ADAC expect generally light national traffic for Nov. 7–9, but warn of local bottlenecks from construction and Bavaria's holiday return, plus possible waits at border crossings such as Suben, Walserberg and Kiefersfelden.
