Overview

  • The DWD has issued Level 2 alerts until Monday night for 25–35 liters of rain per square meter in northern Germany, warning of rapid flooding and hail risks.
  • Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg are forecast frequent showers, thunderstorms and gusty or storm-force winds up to 75 km/h.
  • The Alpine region is set to receive 30–50 liters of rain per square meter by Tuesday evening, easing drought stress while bringing July snowfall down to around 2,000 meters.
  • Unsettled weather with isolated storms and cooler highs of 13–22 °C continues across multiple states as the cold front moves through.
  • High pressure is expected to build by Thursday, bringing warmer, drier and more stable conditions after the abrupt summer chill.
