Germany Enjoys Warm Weather Before Weekend Temperature Drop

Unseasonably high temperatures of up to 24°C are expected on Friday, but cooler, unsettled conditions with rain in the Alps are forecast for the weekend.

  • Friday brings unseasonably warm and sunny weather across Germany, with highs between 17°C and 24°C.
  • Coastal areas, such as the Baltic Sea, and mountain regions, like the Saxon Mountains, will see cooler temperatures ranging from 12°C to 18°C.
  • A cold front will move in on Saturday, causing temperatures in northern Germany to drop to 8°C–16°C, while southern regions, like the Upper Rhine, may still reach up to 23°C.
  • Rain and cloudy skies are expected in the Alps on Saturday, marking the start of more unsettled weather.
  • By Sunday, temperatures will fall further, with highs of 14°C in southern Germany and just 10°C in the east.
