Overview
- From January 9 to 11, the Federal Police are reinforcing their presence at major train hubs across the country under a nationwide action.
- Measures include intensified patrols in and around stations and situationally adapted checks designed to deter offenses and spot suspects early.
- Targeted locations include key Berlin stations such as Hauptbahnhof, Ostbahnhof, Zoologischer Garten and Ostkreuz, along with major Bavarian hubs in Munich, Nuremberg, Augsburg, Regensburg and Aschaffenburg.
- Regional efforts extend to North Rhine-Westphalia, where Duisburg and Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhöfe will see additional officers and focused controls.
- Local units are being bolstered by the Federal Readiness Police in coordination with Deutsche Bahn and state police, with sites chosen based on higher recorded levels of past violent incidents as part of the third nationwide Schwerpunkt.
