Overview
- Autobahn GmbH will close the A7 through Hamburg, including the Elbtunnel, from Friday 7 Nov 22:00 to Monday 10 Nov 05:00 for gantry installation and tunnel control‑center tests, with ramps between Stellingen and Heimfeld shut from 21:00 and detours signed via A1–A21–B205.
- Hamburg police warn of severe congestion as the A7 shutdown coincides with large demonstrations and an HSV home match, while the city’s Freihafenelbbrücke remains closed after a ship strike, pushing more traffic to the already stressed Norderelbbrücke.
- The A3 between Kreuz Oberhausen‑West and Kreuz Breitscheid closes from Friday 7 Nov 21:00 to Monday 17 Nov 05:00 for bridge demolition at Kreuz Kaiserberg, with wide detours via A524–A59–A42 and added pressure from a separate A40 weekend closure near Duisburg.
- Further planned works add to bottlenecks: A99 Allach–Aubing in direction Lindau is fully closed 7–9 Nov for resurfacing, A661 near Frankfurt faces a weekend closure, the Offenbacher Kreuz sees staged ramp and A3 southbound shutdowns, and the A7 Füssen border tunnel is closed overnight 5–6 Nov.
- Rail capacity is reduced after a crack forced single‑track, slow running over the Huntebrücke for three to four weeks, and DB/InfraGO says Pegnitz–Hersbruck will stay shut until mid‑2026 with more than 60 buses and added shuttles deployed as replacements.
