Overview
- On the A8 Albaufstieg toward Munich, full closures between Mühlhausen im Täle and Merklingen run Oct. 17–20 and Oct. 31–Nov. 3 for resurfacing and bridge inspections, with wide detours via the A6/A7.
- The A40 will be fully closed in both directions between Kreuz Duisburg and Duisburg‑Kaiserberg from Oct. 17, 21:00 to Oct. 20, 05:00 to demolish an old bridge at Kreuz Kaiserberg, with multiple ramps also shut.
- In Berlin, the A100’s western section is closed nightly Oct. 13–17 for sign‑gantry removal and tunnel maintenance, and Ringbahnbrücke replacement works begin Oct. 20 with further Funkturm‑area restrictions announced for late October to early November.
- Two separate A5 truck crashes in Hesse overnight spilled food, drinks and 16 tons of meat, leaving the northbound side near Alsfeld closed for cleanup and the southbound side near Friedberg restricted to one lane; no serious injuries were reported and damage is estimated at at least €300,000.
- A car driver died Monday evening in a rear‑end crash between two trucks on the A3 near Deggendorf, and a police operation that shut the Munich–Nuremberg rail corridor was lifted later with residual delays.
