Overview
- The A8 Albaufstieg toward Munich will be fully closed between Mühlhausen im Täle and Merklingen on 17–20 October and 31 October–3 November for resurfacing and bridge and guardrail work, with long-distance detours via the A6 and A7.
- The A40 between Kreuz Duisburg and Duisburg‑Kaiserberg shuts in both directions from Friday 17 October, 21:00, to Monday 20 October, 05:00, for demolition of a disused connector bridge, with additional ramp closures and marked diversions.
- Berlin’s A100 is closing nightly from 13–17 October between Schmargendorf and Heckerdamm for sign‑gantry removal and maintenance, ahead of Ringbahn bridge works starting 20 October and a further Dreieck Funkturm shutdown from 30 October to 3 November.
- Two serious lorry incidents on the A5 left the northbound side closed near Alsfeld after a crash that spilled food and bottles and caused at least €300,000 in damage, and restricted southbound traffic near Friedrichsdorf after a rollover scattered 16 tonnes of meat.
- Deutsche Bahn will replace most Nürnberg–Regensburg regional trains with about 90 buses daily from 6 February to 10 July 2026 during a corridor overhaul, while ICE services detour via Ingolstadt with roughly one hour longer travel time.
