Overview

  • UN Office for Project Services data show that just 260 of 2,010 aid trucks entering Gaza from May 19 to August 2 actually reached their intended recipients
  • Israel has reopened crossings to allow 220 UN- and NGO-operated trucks per day, still far below pre-October 2023 levels of 500–600 trucks
  • Since August 1, three Bundeswehr airdrops have delivered 56 pallets (about 23.6 tons) of food and medical supplies over Gaza, with further missions planned
  • German security sources warn that armed actors, including Hamas, divert between 50 percent and 100 percent of aid entering the territory
  • Berlin is pressing Israel to guarantee safe land routes and secure on-the-ground distribution to avert famine and uphold humanitarian standards
