German-Ukrainian Venture Unveiled to Mass-Produce Ukrainian Drones in Germany

The venture pairs Ukrainian battlefield designs with German automation to secure a resilient drone supply outside Ukraine.

Overview

  • Quantum Systems and Frontline Robotics announced Quantum Frontline Industries in Berlin as part of Ukraine’s Build with Ukraine initiative.
  • Managing director Matthias Lehna said the facilities are planned to output tens of thousands of systems per year.
  • German plants will produce Frontline Robotics’ Linza logistics drone, Zoom reconnaissance drone, and the remotely operated Buria weapon station.
  • All systems built in Germany will be delivered to Ukraine’s Defense Forces under volumes set by the Defense Ministry, with lifecycle support aligned to NATO standards.
  • Companies describe the project as Europe’s first fully automated industrial-scale foreign production line for Ukraine’s forces, with site locations withheld for security and job opportunities expected for Ukrainians in Germany.
