German Police Release New Photos of Fugitive Ex-RAF Member Ernst-Volker Staub

Authorities appeal to medical professionals and others for leads on Staub and Burkhard Garweg as Daniela Klette faces trial in Celle.

The Lower Saxony State Criminal Police Office (LKA) has published two photos of Ernst-Volker Staub from 2006, urging the public to provide information on his whereabouts.
Staub and Burkhard Garweg are suspected of using aliases and paying in cash for private medical services to avoid detection due to a lack of health insurance.
The LKA has specifically called on medical professionals, landlords, and car sellers to report any relevant encounters with the fugitives or their aliases.
Daniela Klette, arrested in February 2024, is currently on trial in Celle for her alleged role in 13 armed robberies and attempted murder between 1999 and 2016.
The LKA warns that Staub and Garweg may be armed and advises against direct confrontation, emphasizing the need for caution.
