German Mini-PV Market Tops 780,000 Systems with New High-Capacity Storage Launches

Retailer price wars under Germany’s Solarpaket 1 have cut entry costs for home solar storage.

  • More than 780,000 plug-in PV installations are now registered across Germany, marking a surge in household solar adoption.
  • Anker’s SOLIX Solarbank3 Pro offers 2.68 kWh of integrated storage (expandable to 16 kWh) while Growatt’s NOAH2000 starts at 2.048 kWh (expandable to 8.192 kWh).
  • Powerness has priced the Marstek B2500-D battery at €441 (197 €/kWh) for 2.24 kWh capacity, with outdoor-rated performance and up to 6.72 kWh via add-ons.
  • Solago and Powerness now list complete mini-PV sets from €369 for 1,000 W duo systems up to €1,049 for 2,020 W packages including smart meters.
  • Under streamlined Solarpaket 1 rules and with typical payback periods of three to ten years, home energy independence is becoming more affordable.
