Overview

• The fatal accident occurred Thursday afternoon on the Troi de le Calade (Sentiero 500) in the Bosconero group near Cortina d'Ampezzo.
• Reports say the man, hiking with friends, suddenly lost his balance, fell roughly 80 meters into a rocky canyon, slid about 20 meters, and struck a tree.
