Overview

  • As of early June, the average price for Super E10 in Germany is €1.667 per liter and Diesel €1.542, marking their lowest levels since late 2024.
  • OPEC+ plans to increase production by about 411,000 barrels per day from July, adding to global oversupply and putting downward pressure on crude benchmarks.
  • The ADAC says domestic retailers are not passing on all cost savings to motorists and is urging greater transparency in pricing.
  • Fuel taxes and levies create wide regional gaps: drivers pay up to €0.35 less per liter in Poland and the Czech Republic, while prices in Denmark and the Netherlands exceed German levels by even more.
  • Motorists can cut costs further by filling up in the evening when prices dip and steering clear of motorway service stations, where rates can be as much as €0.40 higher.
