- Authorities say Begalke left a black, most difficult piste at the Hochzillertal-Kaltenbach area on Saturday at about 14:00 and fell roughly 20 meters into steep, wooded terrain.
- Emergency responders found him unresponsive below the piste and an emergency doctor pronounced him dead at the scene.
- Tiroler Landespolizei report no indications of foul play at this stage and the investigation remains ongoing.
