German Federal Police Foil Copper Cable Theft on Railway Site

Three suspects were apprehended after attempting to steal copper cables from a Deutsche Bahn construction site in Berlin.

The incident occurred at a Deutsche Bahn construction site on the Groß-Berliner Damm in Berlin-Treptow.
Police were alerted by a security company to suspicious activity just after midnight.
Two 22-year-old men and a 35-year-old woman, all Moldovan nationals, were arrested at the scene.
The suspects attempted to flee in a vehicle but were quickly detained by police.
One of the male suspects was found to be in Germany illegally and is known to police.
