Overview

  • On the first leg of her visit, Reem Alabali-Radovan toured East Jerusalem’s Al-Bustan/Silwan and a West Bank site, condemned settler violence and demolitions, and heard residents report 33 house tear-downs since October 2023.
  • In Ramallah she met Palestinian Authority officials, with Gaza interlocutors joining by video to brief the delegation on conditions in the enclave.
  • She said Germany has ordered modular shelters for roughly 400 families for delivery to Gaza once the situation allows.
  • Berlin reiterated demands for a ceasefire, improved humanitarian access, the disarmament of Hamas, and the unconditional release of hostages.
  • Talks with Israeli government officials were requested but not confirmed, and the ministry noted German-funded projects reduced to rubble and a jobs initiative still far short of its targets.
