German Court Overturns Conviction of 'Kinderzimmer-Dealer'

The Federal Court of Justice mandates a retrial for the Leipzig drug dealer whose story inspired a Netflix series.

The Bundesgerichtshof (BGH) has partially overturned the conviction of a Leipzig man known as the 'Kinderzimmer-Dealer' for drug trafficking.
The case has been sent back to a different chamber of the Leipzig Regional Court for a new trial and decision.
The defendant was previously sentenced in May 2023 to four and a half years in prison for selling drugs online in significant amounts.
Two other defendants will also face retrial, while a fourth was given a suspended sentence and a fifth was acquitted.
The man's earlier activities inspired the Netflix series 'How to Sell Drugs Online (Fast),' which has released three seasons.
