Overview

• German bicycle sales rose 10.6 percent in Q1 to 885,000 units, led by an 11 percent increase in E-Bike deliveries to 500,000.
• E-Bikes accounted for 86 percent of total bicycle revenue in 2024 even as their sales volume fell 2 percent and average prices declined 10 percent to €2,650.
• Industry association ZIV warns that lingering high inventories and deep discounts kept overall spring growth to around 5 percent.
• First-quarter domestic production climbed 16 percent for E-Bikes and 10 percent for traditional models, while E-Bike imports jumped by 24 percent.
