  • The ADAC warns that with 14 of Germany’s 16 states on break, highways to northern and coastal destinations plus major corridors like the A2, A9, Berliner Ring, A11 and A24 are at or near capacity.
  • A seasonal ban on trucks over 7.5 tonnes every Saturday from July 1 through August 31 aims to relieve outbound weekend congestion.
  • Active roadworks on the Berliner Ring, A115, A100 and stretches of the A9 are expected to further slow holiday traffic.
  • Random checks at the A12 Frankfurt/Oder, A15 Forst and the Danish border may trigger unpredictable delays for cross-border travellers.
