German Authorities Dismantle Major Illegal Online Marketplace 'Crimenetwork'

A 29-year-old administrator was arrested, and servers for the criminal platform, active since 2012, were shut down.

The Bundeskriminalamt (BKA) and Frankfurt's General Prosecutor's Office led the operation to take down 'Crimenetwork,' the largest German-language platform for illegal goods and services.
A suspected administrator, accused of operating the platform for years, was arrested and is now in pretrial detention.
Authorities seized assets worth approximately €1 million in cryptocurrencies, along with high-value vehicles and other evidence.
The platform, active since 2012, facilitated the trade of stolen data, drugs, counterfeit documents, and other illegal items, with over 100,000 users and 100 vendors registered.
International cooperation, including Dutch law enforcement, aided the investigation, which also secured user and transaction data to target broader criminal networks.
