Overview

  • The six-stage Tour of Britain runs 2–7 September, ending in Cardiff with a Newport start and a finish on North Road after passing Maindy velodrome and near Thomas’s parents’ home.
  • He leads Ineos Grenadiers one last time in a special kit featuring his five-year-old son’s doodle and a Welsh dragon, with his career’s landmark years printed on the back.
  • A free celebration event at Cardiff Castle is scheduled after the final stage to mark Thomas’s career.
