Greentown Labs, which operates clean-tech startup incubators in Somerville, MA, and Houston, TX, recently transitioned to nonprofit status and secured $4 million in funding to stabilize its finances.
The organization has faced challenges integrating into Houston and managing relationships with oil and gas industry sponsors, leading to staff reductions and board restructuring in 2024.
