Charleston Southern briefly cut the deficit to eight early in the second half, but Georgia Tech responded with a 9-0 run to regain control and maintained a double-digit lead for the rest of the game.
The Yellow Jackets dominated the paint, outscoring Charleston Southern 52-18 inside, and will next face Central Arkansas on Saturday.
