Overview
- ESPN’s Pete Thamel reports Georgia Tech is finalizing an agreement to make Ravens tight ends coach George Godsey its offensive coordinator, with a formal announcement still to come.
- Godsey quarterbacked the Yellow Jackets from 1998 to 2001 and remains the program’s single-season passing yards record holder.
- He has coached in the NFL since 2011 with the Patriots, Texans, Lions, Dolphins and Ravens, spending the past three seasons under Baltimore offensive coordinator Todd Monken.
- He would succeed Buster Faulkner, who left in December to become Florida’s offensive coordinator under Jon Sumrall.
- This would be Godsey’s first college post since UCF in 2010, and he is set to inherit a 2026 Georgia Tech offense without quarterback Haynes King after a 9-4, top-12 scoring season.
