Georgia Teacher Arrested for Allegedly Threatening Student Over Israeli Flag

Benjamin Reese, a middle school teacher in Georgia, was arrested on charges of making terroristic threats and cruelty to children after allegedly threatening to behead a student who expressed offense at an Israeli flag in his classroom.
The incident reportedly began when the student asked Reese about the Israeli flag in his classroom and stated she found it offensive due to 'Israelis killing Palestinians'.
Reese, who identified as Jewish and has family ties in Israel, allegedly responded with violent threats, which were overheard by several teachers, staff members, and students.
Reese was arrested on December 8 and has since been released on bond. He has not returned to the school campus since the incident.
The Houston County School District stated that all employees are required to follow a Code of Ethics for Educators and that they are investigating the incident.
