Georgia Inmate Fatally Shot in Hospital After Seizing Guard's Pepper Spray

31-year-old Jacob Henson was shot by a guard at Washington County Regional Hospital after overpowering another officer and taking his pepper spray.
Henson was initially hospitalized after being stabbed by another inmate at Washington State Prison.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is probing the shooting and the circumstances leading up to it, including the initial stabbing.
Both guards involved have been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
This marks the eighth fatal shooting involving law enforcement investigated by the GBI this year.
