Georgia Bulldogs Decline White House Invitation Due to Scheduling Conflict

The University of Georgia football team won't be visiting the White House on June 12 due to scheduling conflicts.
The team declined the invitation this year due to the student-athlete calendar and time of year.
Georgia did not visit the White House after their championship last year, nor did the Alabama Crimson Tide the year before, due to Covid-related reasons.
The NCAA men's and women's championship basketball teams from Connecticut and Louisiana State are scheduled to visit the White House on May 26 to celebrate their national championship titles.
Historically, college football teams visit the White House within months of winning a championship to lessen the amount of turnover expected on a title roster.
