Georgia Appeals Court Rejects Simon Guobadia’s Bid to Challenge Porsha Williams Divorce Ruling

The denial leaves the trial court’s prenup-based awards to Williams in effect.

Overview

  • On Sept. 9, the Court of Appeals of Georgia denied Guobadia’s application for a discretionary appeal, keeping the divorce judgment intact.
  • The trial ruling upholds the prenuptial agreement and grants Williams $40,000 per month for 14 months, 50% of the home’s equity, the 2021 Rolls-Royce and other cars, $224,000 in legal fees, and up to 36 months in the home with Guobadia covering mortgage and bills.
  • Williams marked the outcome on social media with posts reading “It’s over” and “Free,” while Guobadia responded with mocking messages.
  • Guobadia told People he plans to keep pursuing legal remedies over the next 12–24 months and pointed to a separate federal defamation case moving toward discovery, which Williams has denied.
  • Williams filed a petition on Aug. 28 asserting Guobadia owes at least $667,359.55, including alleged shortfalls in alimony, mortgage and carrying costs, property taxes, and the unresolved title to the 2021 Rolls-Royce.
