The Royal Mint has released a £2 coin commemorating George Orwell, marking 75 years since the author's death.
The coin's reverse design includes a camera lens symbolizing surveillance, encircled by the quote 'Big Brother is watching you.'
Another quote, 'There was truth and there was untruth,' is inscribed on the coin's edge, paying homage to Orwell's '1984'.
Collectors can purchase the coin in Brilliant Uncirculated, Gold Proof, and Silver Proof editions starting January 15, with prices beginning at £17.50.
Visitors to the Royal Mint Experience in South Wales can strike their own George Orwell £2 coin starting January 20 for an additional fee.
