• On July 27, Lucas will step onto Hall H for his debut appearance at San Diego Comic-Con, nearly five decades after the original Star Wars materials first appeared at the convention.
• The panel, titled “Sneak Peek of the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art,” brings together Guillermo del Toro and Doug Chiang in a discussion moderated by Queen Latifah.
• Organizers say the session will explore the power of illustrated storytelling across media, from cave drawings and hieroglyphics to comics, digital art and sculptures.
• Lucas and his wife, businesswoman Melody Hobson, co-founded the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, which remains on track to open in Los Angeles’s Exposition Park in 2026.
• Planned exhibits include Lucas’s personal narrative art collection alongside archival props and models from his filmmaking career.
