Geoff Ogilvy and Brandt Snedeker Named 2026 Presidents Cup Captains

The PGA Tour has selected Ogilvy for the International Team and Snedeker for the U.S. Team, as the event returns to Medinah Country Club from September 24–27, 2026.

  • Geoff Ogilvy, a three-time Presidents Cup player and four-time assistant captain, will lead the International Team in their quest for a second-ever victory.
  • Brandt Snedeker, a nine-time PGA Tour winner and 2013 Presidents Cup participant, will captain the U.S. Team, which holds a dominant 13-1-1 record in the event's history.
  • Medinah Country Club's Course No. 3, renovated by Ogilvy's design firm in 2022–2023, will host the 16th edition of the biennial competition.
  • The U.S. Team aims to extend its streak to 11 consecutive victories, while the International Team seeks to capitalize on growing momentum since adopting a unified team identity in 2019.
  • The captains bring extensive experience and leadership, with Snedeker also serving as a vice-captain for the 2025 Ryder Cup and Ogilvy leveraging his intimate knowledge of the Medinah course.
