Generalitat Valenciana Doubles Recuperem Turisme Budget to €10.1 Million

The extra €5 million will fund two-night stays of up to €350 at over 600 accredited venues for residents affected by last October’s DANA flood.

Overview

  • After strong initial uptake the Consell increased the program’s funding from €5.1 million to €10.1 million.
  • Over 15,500 reservations have been made and more than 17,500 vouchers assigned since the scheme launched on May 12.
  • Eligible participants must be registered residents in municipalities hit by the DANA flood, including urban areas, rural communities and pedanías of Valencia.
  • The program runs through December 22 and allows beneficiaries to include optional services such as half-board, wellness treatments, parking and excursions.
  • Authorities say the initiative supports emotional recovery for flood survivors and aims to strengthen internal tourism during the low season in less crowded areas.
