Overview
- Gencom and Miami-based White Bridge Capital announced the acquisition of the 652-room, 34-story InterContinental Miami, adding a large waterfront hotel in downtown Miami to their portfolio.
- The property includes 22 suites, 35 meeting rooms and more than 90,000 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor event space after a recent comprehensive renovation of rooms, the Club InterContinental Lounge, pool cabanas and the SkyLawn.
- White Bridge and its international family office partners supplied a substantial portion of the equity for the purchase, with Gencom acting as the operating sponsor.
- The deal expands Gencom’s Miami footprint following its late-2025 InterContinental New York Times Square purchase and supports the firm’s broader strategy around irreplaceable gateway assets and the privately funded Miami Riverbridge redevelopment.
- Operators expect the hotel’s waterfront location, expanded meeting capacity and branded food-and-beverage outlets to strengthen group, convention and leisure demand and to drive local hiring and service-industry activity.
